The Visual Marketing function encompasses four critical areas: Visual Marketing Strategy, Visual Styling, Visual Operations, and Visual Development. Position Overview

As the Chief of Visual Marketing at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how millions of customers experience our brand. You will be responsible for developing and executing in-store visual marketing strategies that align with our overall marketing objectives and drive measurable business results.

This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can balance creative excellence with operational efficiency. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Space Planning, Store Operations, and Merchandising to ensure visual marketing initiatives are executed flawlessly across all our retail locations.

What You'll Do


Strategic Leadership: Partner with business leadership to develop visual marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives and drive revenue growth across all product categories.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Marketing, Advertising, Space Planning, Store Operations, and Merchandising teams to ensure cohesive execution of visual initiatives.
Project Management: Lead large-scale, complex visual marketing projects from concept through implementation, managing cross-functional teams and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Store Execution: Oversee the implementation of in-store visual marketing elements including displays, fixture placement, lighting, signage, and promotional materials.
Space Optimization: Utilize space planning and visual merchandising techniques to maximize product presentation effectiveness and optimize store layout performance.
Team Development: Coach and mentor Visual Marketing team members, building skills and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Process Improvement: Develop and refine Visual Marketing tools, resources, and onboarding materials to enhance team efficiency and consistency.
Performance Analysis: Leverage data and customer insights to continuously improve in-store experiences and measure the impact of visual marketing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


Lead the development and execution of seasonal visual marketing campaigns and initiatives
Manage relationships with external creative partners and vendors
Drive consistency in visual standards across all retail locations
Analyze market trends and customer behavior to inform visual strategy
Collaborate with store leadership to ensure visual initiatives are executable and sustainable
Support new store openings and remodel projects with visual marketing expertise
Establish and track key performance metrics for visual marketing programs
Represent Visual Marketing in cross-functional strategic planning sessions


Required Qualifications


Education: Bachelor's degree in Visual Marketing, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Visual Marketing or related field, with demonstrated progression in responsibility
Retail Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on in-store retail operations experience
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of coaching, developing, and building high-performing teams
Project Management: Strong experience managing large, complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Communication: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in ambiguity and effectively prioritize multiple competing initiatives


Preferred Qualifications


Experience driving cross-functional teams in a large retail or merchandising environment
Background in managing visual marketing projects for big-box retail operations
Experience with print production and creative asset management
Knowledge of visual marketing or related creative disciplines in retail settings
Familiarity with space planning tools and retail layout optimization
