As a virtual teacher tutor for grades K-6, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission and make a real difference in the lives of our students. About the Role We are seeking experienced and passionate teachers to join our community of virtual tutors. As a virtual teacher tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students from grades K-6, providing them with personalized support and guidance in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. Our virtual tutoring platform allows you to connect with students from all over the country, making it possible for you to make a broader impact and reach students who may not have access to quality educational resources in their local communities. Key Responsibilities: Provide virtual tutoring services to students in grades K-6, focusing on ELA and Math Develop and implement personalized learning plans tailored to each student's needs and goals Utilize online platforms, such as Google Classroom and Zoom, to deliver high-quality virtual instruction Collaborate with our team to develop and refine our virtual tutoring programs and services Communicate effectively with students, parents, and our team to ensure seamless delivery of our services Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in virtual education Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: A valid teaching credential in the United States Experience teaching ELA and/or Math to students in grades K-12 Experience teaching in an online environment, with a strong understanding of virtual classroom management and online instructional strategies Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom, as well as other online educational platforms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and our team A strong commitment to advancing equity in education and supporting high-needs students Preferred Qualifications: Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction Special Education (SPED) or English Language Learner (ELL) teaching experience Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) courses Knowledge of curriculum design and development, with experience creating engaging and effective lesson plans What We Offer In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive compensation package, including: A hourly rate of $36.00 per hour of tutoring, plus a 10% bonus for light preparation Flexible scheduling, with opportunities to work on a part-time basis Professional development opportunities, including training and support to enhance your virtual teaching skills The chance to be part of a dynamic and mission-driven team, making a real difference in the lives of students across the United States Our Culture and Values How to Apply If you are a motivated and experienced teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of students, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
