About the Role As a Virtual Support Needs Educator with Fullmind, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality virtual academic instruction to students with mild to moderate support needs and extensive support needs. This 1099 Independent Contractor position offers a competitive daily rate of $295 and the flexibility of working remotely. You'll be working on a fully remote platform, collaborating with in-class facilitators, and contributing to the success of our students. Key Responsibilities: Teach the curriculum on the district's virtual platform, ensuring engaging and effective instruction for students. Attend district professional development faculty meetings to stay updated on best practices and network with peers. Record student progress, providing valuable insights for future instruction and collaboration with in-class facilitators. Partner with in-class facilitators who are physically present with students to ensure a cohesive learning experience. Create lesson plans that are aligned with the class curriculum, promoting creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment. Develop strategies to engage and nurture student learning, fostering positive student relationships. Keep track of student grades and performance, using data to inform instruction and drive student success. Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need: An active, USA state-issued teaching certification in Mild to Moderate Support Needs/Extensive Support Needs for California. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Authorization to work in the United States. A reliable laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and stable internet access. Willingness to participate in a Virtual Skills Teaching Demonstration as part of the application process. Ability to submit a background check, including LiveScan Fingerprinting, which requires living near a LiveScan location or being willing to drive to one. Prior online teaching experience is highly valued and considered a plus.
