Job Summary We are seeking experienced virtual math and algebra tutors to join our team of educators. As a virtual tutor with Littera Education, you will work with students in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, providing high-quality tutoring support and guidance. You will have the opportunity to choose your own subjects and levels, set your own availability, and work from the comfort of your own home. Our tutoring model pairs students with the same tutor for 2-3 sessions per week, allowing for a consistent and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality tutoring support to students in a virtual setting Develop and maintain a consistent tutor:student relationship Complete curriculum reviews and prepare lesson content for sessions Tutor students in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, using online virtual tools and technology Build relationships with students and provide ongoing support and guidance Review and provide feedback on student progress Requirements Essential Qualifications Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity Relatively consistent calendar availability to support a session series from week to week at the same time with the same student(s) Confident knowledge of at least one of the following: algebra I, algebra II, geometry, or pre-algebra Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology Desktop or Laptop using the Chrome browser, a video camera, and a reliable/stable internet connection Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field 1+ years of relevant experience working with students Experience with online tutoring platforms and tools Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of math and algebra concepts Ability to work effectively in a virtual setting Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to build relationships with students and provide ongoing support Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Littera Education, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our tutors. Compensation and Benefits Our tutors are compensated at a rate of $18 per hour for non-high school algebra sessions, and $22 per hour for high school Algebra I sessions.
