As a Virtual Design Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of virtual design sales specialists who work closely with clients to create their dream homes within their unique budget, style, and space constraints. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will be expected to: Manage, motivate, and inspire your team of virtual design sales specialists to meet or exceed sales, customer satisfaction, and revenue targets Guide your team with your expertise in the interior design process, including surveying mood boards, directing designers on customizations, communicating with suppliers, and closing deals Take ownership of and improve design team structure, processes, and tooling necessary for designers to succeed Respond professionally and respectfully to escalated customer requests, inquiries, or complaints to reach a satisfactory resolution Make recommendations or take corrective action to manage performance as needed Work closely with Talent Management and senior leadership to address and resolve employee issues Review time-off requests as necessary to match staffing level requirements Establish new workflows, pilot new software/tools, and build flexible processes and tests from scratch Build strong relationships with our supplier and cross-functional partners Collaborate with Design Services business and operations team to manage team effectiveness and quality, customer satisfaction, sales volume, and relationships Embody a positive and professional attitude at all times with clients and colleagues Participate in a high-energy, focused, and dynamic work environment where there can be rapid changes in products, technologies, offerings, and operations Plan and execute team engagement activities, manage challenges, and continuous education sessions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field 3+ years of sales experience (preferably in a design-related environment) 2+ years of previous management experience Experience with Salesforce and knowledge of design tools (AutoCAD/Revit/other) Experience with managing and motivating a virtual distributed team (preferred) A passion for exceptional customer service and a drive to exceed sales targets Strong organization, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills A history of thriving in a fast-paced and changing environment Demonstrated use of technology to drive business results, ability to learn new software programs quickly Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment Knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office applications and technical aptitude in learning new business systems A strong understanding of the interior design process and industry trends Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong technical skills, including proficiency in design software and tools Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wayfair, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
