Experienced U.S. Patent Attorney Needed for Design & Utility Patent Review & Filing

We are seeking an experienced U.S.-licensed patent attorney to review, advise on, and file patent applications for a consumer product invention in the home & garden category. We already have professional USPTO-compliant patent drawings prepared by an experienced technical draftsperson, and we are looking for an attorney who can: • Review the drawings and overall invention critically • Advise on design vs. utility patent strategy (or combination) • Draft and file the appropriate patent application(s) with the USPTO • Provide guidance on claim scope and potential risks • Coordinate directly with our draftsperson if minor revisions are needed This is not a “rush filing.” We care about doing this correctly and are looking for someone thoughtful, experienced, and communicative. Project Details • Product: Physical consumer product (self-watering plant insert / planter system) • Status: • Design patent drawings completed and USPTO-compliant • Product has been prototyped and tested • Scope: • Review of existing drawings and invention • Legal strategy recommendation • Drafting and filing with the USPTO • We are open to ongoing work if the relationship is a good fit What We’re Looking For Required: • U.S.-licensed patent attorney (or patent agent working under attorney supervision) • Demonstrated experience with design patents • Experience with utility patents for physical consumer products • Strong understanding of USPTO requirements and examiner expectations • Willingness to collaborate with our existing draftsperson Preferred: • Experience across multiple product categories (not just one niche) • Clear communicator who can explain tradeoffs and decisions • Practical, not overly academic or boilerplate-driven Apply tot his job
