Job Overview In this contractor role, you will interact with customers primarily through inbound phone calls and possibly chat/email, addressing their queries, concerns, and needs in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule and Flexibility The majority of available hours for this role are during weekdays and daytime, offering you the flexibility to create a schedule that works best for you within our client's hours of operation. Earnings and Revenue Your earnings as a contractor with blithequark will vary by client, ranging from $14 to $20 per hour. Your revenue is determined by your phone status when assisting customers, and additional incentives can be available based on blithequark and client minimum targets. This performance-based compensation structure rewards your hard work and dedication, providing you with opportunities to increase your earnings as you grow and develop in your role. Must-Have Skills for Successful Contractors Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex information clearly and concisely. Proven track record in customer service, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer care and resolving issues efficiently. Attention to detail, combined with strong problem-solving skills, to address customer queries and concerns effectively. Friendly, empathetic tone, and professional demeanor, ensuring that each customer interaction is positive and productive. Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful mindset, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Proficient in using technology, including computer applications and software, to manage customer interactions and perform administrative tasks efficiently. Technology and Equipment Requirements To perform this role successfully, you will need to have access to specific technology and equipment, including: A personal computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM (tablets like iPads, Amazon Fire, Samsung Galaxy Tab, and Chromebooks are not permitted). A wired USB headset with microphone for clear communication. High-speed wired internet with a minimum of 10 Mbps download speed and 5 Mbps upload speed for seamless connectivity (mobile home internet and Satellite internet service are not supported by blithequark or any client). An operating system of Windows 11 (some clients may accept AppleOS). Windows Defender Anti-Virus Installed and Active (other versions for AppleOS may be accepted). A smartphone needed for daily authentication. Additional equipment may be required, depending on the specific client and their requirements. You will need to check the client-specific details for more information. Work Environment Requirements To ensure that you can perform your role effectively and efficiently, you will need to have a quiet and dedicated work area with no background noise. This will enable you to focus on your work, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain the high standards that blithequark expects from its contractors. Unapproved Locations Please note that blithequark is unable to accept applications from contractors residing in the following locations: Alaska California Colorado Connecticut Delaware Flagstaff, Arizona Hawaii Illinois Michigan Maine Massachusetts Maryland Minneapolis, Minnesota New Jersey New York Oregon Rhode Island St. Paul, Minnesota Tucson, Arizona Vermont Virginia Washington Washington DC Contractual Relationship The relationship between you and blithequark is a contractual relationship. As a contractor, you will remain an independent contractor for the duration of your contractual relationship with blithequark. blithequark will not be responsible for withholding taxes on your earnings while contracted with blithequark. When you receive your contract, you will be asked to agree to have no claim against blithequark for vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, worker’s compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits, or employee benefits of any kind.
