Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Unity Architect to join our team on a freelance basis. As a Unity Freelance Architect, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient solutions for Unity-based applications and games. You'll collaborate with our developers and designers to ensure seamless integration of game features, provide technical leadership, and drive architectural best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and Architecture: Design and architect scalable and efficient solutions for Unity-based applications and games, ensuring high-performance systems and optimized game features. Collaboration and Technical Leadership: Collaborate with developers and designers to implement robust and optimized game features, and provide technical leadership to ensure architectural best practices are followed. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to performance, scalability, and usability, and optimize game systems for mobile, console, and PC platforms. Problem-Solving and Communication: Utilize strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve technical issues, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Requirements Essential Qualifications Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Unity Architect or Senior Developer, with a strong portfolio of game development projects. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of C#, Unity's Scripting API, and 3D/2D game development, as well as experience in optimizing games for performance and memory management. Independence and Time Management: Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, designers, and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications AR/VR Development: Experience with AR/VR development, including knowledge of Unity's AR/VR features and best practices. AI and Physics Systems: Knowledge of AI and Physics systems in Unity, including experience with Unity's ML-Agents and PhysX. Multiplayer Game Frameworks: Prior work on multiplayer game frameworks, such as Photon, Mirror, or similar technologies. Cloud Services Integration: Experience with cloud services integration, including knowledge of Unity's Cloud Services and backend services.
