Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Travel Specialist to join our West Coast team, where you will have the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals and provide them with personalized travel experiences that exceed their expectations. As a Travel Specialist, you will be responsible for booking travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, vacation homes, and car rentals, using our state-of-the-art Global Distribution System (GDS) and other online travel tools. Your role will involve working closely with suppliers from around the world to negotiate the best rates, perks, and services for our clients. You will need to be adaptable, proactive, and possess a "yes first" mentality to ensure that every client interaction is met with a positive and solution-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Assist clients in booking travel arrangements, including commercial flights, hotels, vacation homes, and car rentals Utilize Global Distribution System (GDS) and other online travel tools to book and communicate with suppliers Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best rates, perks, and services for our clients Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of travel arrangements Stay up-to-date with industry trends, supplier offerings, and travel regulations to provide expert advice and guidance to clients Essential Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification At least 1 year of experience working in a travel agency or related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience working in a travel agency or related field 1+ years of experience using Global Distribution System (GDS) or other online travel booking systems Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and clients Entrepreneurial, problem-solving attitude and ability to think outside the box Strong knowledge of the travel industry, including destinations, suppliers, and travel regulations Career Growth and Development At Capital One, we are committed to helping our associates grow and develop in their careers. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $74,000 - $84,400 per year, depending on experience and location.
