About Amazon's Shipping & Delivery Support Team Amazon's SDS team develops and maintains support content for customer service associates, delivery drivers, and customers worldwide. Our goal is to provide high-quality translations that cater to diverse audiences and cultures. As a Translation Program Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional localization experiences that exceed customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Receive and manage daily translation/localization requests from internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Create and manage translation projects in the Amazon Translation Management System (ATMS) by outsourcing to vendors, coordinating project timelines, and communicating with stakeholders. Troubleshoot issues or questions regarding target audience, file type, and business requirements, providing linguistic support to translation vendors and internal stakeholders. Utilize project management methodologies, including risk management, to plan, scope, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and implement changes, ensuring that projects meet business requirements and customer needs. Essential Qualifications 2+ years of experience in project management and localization, preferably in a global, cross-functional, multilingual team environment. Excellent business communication skills , with the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, translation vendors, and customers. Proven project management experience , with a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Strong attention to detail , with a focus on quality and accuracy in translation and localization projects. Passion for intercultural communication , with a deep understanding of cultural nuances and language complexities. Preferred Qualifications Fluency in one or more non-English languages , with a strong understanding of language complexities and cultural nuances. Comprehension of translation/localization industry processes , including knowledge of localization tools, translation management systems, and content management systems. Experience working with Amazon's Translation Management System (ATMS) or similar translation management tools. Knowledge of project management methodologies , including Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
