As a Title I Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting the remedial education of elementary students in the areas of reading and mathematics, working closely with our certified classroom teachers and Title I coordinator. Job Highlights Location: Remote (Work from Home) Position: Title I Paraprofessional Company: Kalamazoo Resa Compensation: A competitive salary Start Date: Immediate openings available About the Role The Title I Paraprofessional will perform duties under the supervision of the Title I coordinator/certified classroom teacher, providing one-on-one or small group tutoring, behavior and engagement monitoring, and instructional support services. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to elementary students in reading and mathematics Monitor student behavior and engagement during small group instruction Provide instructional support services under the direct supervision of a certified classroom teacher Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications: Essential Qualifications Complete at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours) Obtain an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through passage of an approved formal state academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics Preferred Qualifications Valid Michigan teaching certificate Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and teachers Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Knowledge of and experience with remedial education strategies and techniques Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits We are committed to supporting the growth and development of our staff, and we offer a range of opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
