The Opportunity We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Test Prep Tutor/Teacher to join our team in New Canaan, CT. As a Tutor, you'll have the opportunity to work with students in a one-on-one setting, providing personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to set your hours and caseload, and provides a competitive salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one test preparation services to students in their homes or online, focusing on SAT and ACT exams Develop and implement customized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student Utilize effective pedagogical strategies to engage students and promote academic success Stay up-to-date with changes to the SAT and ACT exams, as well as best practices in test preparation Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Student-centered disposition with a passion for education and a desire to help students succeed Responsible and responsive work ethic, with flexibility for student schedule changes Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes (up to 30 minutes) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Teaching or tutoring experience, particularly with students with Learning Differences Experience with test preparation and/or education technology Familiarity with the SAT and ACT exams, as well as their respective formats and content What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: Competitive hourly rate: $65/hr (in-person) or $45/hr (online) Travel compensation for students over 30 minutes away Frequent hourly bonus opportunities Annual reviews with raise opportunities Paid training and ongoing professional development Self-determined schedule and flexible caseload Referral and employee discount program Work Environment and Culture: Dynamic and supportive team environment Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and innovation Opportunities for professional growth and development Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options Why Join Our Team?
