About the Role
As a Test Development Engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in providing ongoing software development support to lead cybersecurity activities with external manufacturing partners and internal Google test development teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of Google's technical infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of top-notch products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Design and define the security hardening process, providing guidelines to Contract Manufacturers (North America)
Collaborate with internal and partner specialists and managers to drive test and security enhancements
Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot security issues
Manage operating system updates and offer support for periodic hardening refreshes, network security, remote access, and system administrator of test stations
Work with Python test scripts based on test specifications
Perform root cause analysis of system test failures and implement corrective or preventive actions


Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software development, hardware troubleshooting, or test engineering
Experience working with security protocols/communication, servers, or network equipment
Proficiency in Python programming development, coding, input/output frameworks (Profiles), and operating systems


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with operating system engineering and RAM prearranging
Experience with cloud platform software development
Background working in security or software development teams
Experience in testing products for manufacturing, working with partner or contract manufacturing (ODM, OEM, JDM)
