Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team at blithequark. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation for our cloud database services, including user guides, concept guides, and how-to guides for enterprise clients. You will work closely with our design and product management teams to identify key user journeys and create data models that support clients through those journeys. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, write, and publish technical documentation for cloud database services, including user guides, concept guides, and how-to guides for enterprise clients Collaborate with product managers, design leads, UX researchers, and UI designers to identify key user journeys and create data models that support clients through those journeys Work with cross-functional teams to manage and prioritize technical writing tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation Mentor and support other writers in the cloud database team to consistently refine approaches to delivering an exceptional client experience Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, database management, and technical writing Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience At least 2 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the cloud computing or database management industry Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to create high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly and concisely Experience with HTML, Markdown, or other markup languages, as well as familiarity with Unix environments Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, and cloud products, including blithequark's cloud database services Experience in a similar role, creating technical documentation for a technical audience, preferably in the enterprise cloud services industry Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git Experience with cloud-based documentation tools and platforms, such as MadCap Flare or Paligo Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to create high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly and concisely Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
