Job Overview
The Technical Specialist – Telecom and Datacom Operations Support will be responsible for providing top-to-bottom analysis, testing, functional design, and software setup for all telecom services across arenaflex. This role will involve working closely with various teams, including resort engineering, FAM, OSI, and WDI, to design, implement, and maintain telecom solutions that meet the needs of our business. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administration to the arenaflex telecom services program, including content delivery planning, interactive device design, server upgrades, consumables monitoring, and equipment assessment.
Offer hands-on support for interactive installations, server upgrades, video installations, emergency maintenance, and outage resolution.
Provide on-site consultation to clients and ensure operational support of the experience environment to maintain SLAs and arenaflex standards.
Prepare and present metrics on uptime, usage, trends, and opportunities.
Ensure telecom network maintains software and security currency.
Manage replacement and backup parts for all installations.
Offer level 2 support to troubleshoot the break/fix of any telecom services devices through Assistance NOW.
Responsible for maintaining and supporting Video Head End IP, RF QAM, and transcoding video.
Collaborate with other arenaflex teams and service providers to deliver efficient technical solutions.
Oversee the device refresh and recycling programs.
Conduct in-depth troubleshooting with field specialists.
Manage vendor relationships.


Essential Qualifications

3+ years in the AV/Technology Industry
3+ years network switching and routing experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP Workplace, and Assistance NOW
Strong understanding of various video and audio vendor applications (Sonify, QSC, Crestron, IOT, Synamedia, Genetec, SevOne, Forward Networks, Splunk, Zabbix, Infoblox, etc.)
Strong understanding and experience in enterprise video distribution support, sustainment, and implementation
Demonstrated ability to handle escalations and outages.
Strong knowledge of network security principles and industry best practices.
Knowledge of analysis and reporting tools like Scene, Power BI
Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
Able to meet targeted deadlines and manage competing needs.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn new software applications
Ability to appear on Saturday or Sunday as well as nighttime as required by client and business interest
Self-organizing and motivated


Preferred Qualifications

3+ years in the AV or technology Industry, experience with video distribution, encoding, audio mixes, and IOT devices.
3+ years network switching and routing experience
Associate Degree in computer science, video technology, information systems, engineering, mathematics, data analysis, or other related scientific or technical discipline desired
Or, appropriate certifications or possibly equivalent work experience
Preferred Education: Various security and network certifications
Licenses/Training: Vendor-related certifications and training (QSC, Synamedia, Cisco, etc.)
