About the Real Time Communication (RTC) Foundation Team The RTC Foundation team is dedicated to providing seamless audio and video media experiences, ensuring stunning reliability, security, and setup that enables natural communications. Our mission is to help consumers, educators, small businesses, and companies leverage the power of videoconferencing to enhance their connections. As a Technical Program Manager in this team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Google Meet, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading a team of Technical Program Managers to achieve business-critical product pillar work. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to a team of Technical Program Managers, ensuring each individual is aligned with business-critical product pillar work supporting product launches. Process Design and Implementation: Partner with cross-functional leadership to design, implement, and drive organization-level processes to enable program health and progress, including project intake, capacity planning, OpEx, Annual Planning, OKRs, and roadmap alignments. Communications Strategy: Partner with the Engineering and Product Director to drive communications strategies, enabling information flow, community, and a sense of belonging across the organization. Program Management Leadership: Operate as a connector and leader within the RTC Technical Program Manager organization, representing the values and principles of the TPgM team in pillar-level work, and participate in program management leadership opportunities and development. Essential Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Technical Program Management Experience: 10 years of technical program management experience, with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects. Leadership Experience: 7 years of experience in leadership roles with direct reports, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Project Management Experience: 5 years of experience managing projects, with expertise in managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with project stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Cross-Functional Team Experience: 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects, with a strong ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Supervisory Experience: 7 years of supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams. Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving, discussing agreements, organizational, program management, people, and communication skills, with the ability to focus and be agile under pressure, and high attention to detail. Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups, craft a compelling message, and tailor it for a given audience.
