What You'll Do

As a Team Lead, IT Data Governance at arenaflex, you will be responsible for leading the creation, maintenance, and rollout of our Data Management capabilities. Your role is essential to building a robust data infrastructure that supports business intelligence, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead the creation, maintenance, and rollout of arenaflex's Data Management capabilities
Responsible for the function's workflows, standards, processes, policies, and guidelines required to make data governance an everyday reality
Be an integral part of the Data Management Program Management from a Data Quality functional perspective
Collaborate across the Enterprise to enable Data Management and Data Quality standards
Work with our Data Management Leadership Board to define and monitor core metrics and KPIs for each capability
Research, review, recommend, and implement new software solutions
Work with the Data Management Platform teams to automate capability processes
Serve as the Product Owner for capability products
Be the capability's ambassador and primary advocate
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance initiatives align with business objectives
Develop and maintain documentation related to data governance policies and procedures
Lead and mentor team members within the data governance function


All You'll Need for Success

We're seeking a seasoned professional with deep expertise in data management and governance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing data management capabilities and driving data quality initiatives within a large enterprise environment.

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of Data Analysis and/or Data Management Experience
Demonstrated experience implementing one or more Data Management Capabilities in an organization
Experience developing and tracking metrics to determine adoption/progress of data management capabilities
Experience working with Business Intelligence tools, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses
Experience working with sensitive data (e.g., PII, SPII, PHI) and relevant regulatory frameworks governing such data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
Experience managing Data Quality and Observability tools
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications:


Change management experience identifying downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting
Experience automating data management processes/workflows using market-leading data management products
Detailed experience delivering data management artifacts such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data movement controls, and data element-level data quality controls
Experience as a Data Steward (serving as a data expert, reviewing and approving data access, serving as a product owner for a data product, data domain, etc.)
Experience working in Agile and DevOps frameworks
Experience in the Airline, Aviation, Travel, and/or Hospitality industry
Advanced degree in a related field
Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies


Skills, Licenses, and Certifications


Working knowledge of SQL and database query languages
Solid understanding of Data and Analytical concepts
Data Management certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional)
Ability to bridge the communication gap by translating technical governance concepts to the Business
Capacity to be flexible in an evolving operating model and able to pivot effectively on areas of focus
Ability to manage projects and teams from idea generation through execution
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with data visualization tools
Project management certification (PMP, CSM, or equivalent) is a plus
