Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional to join our Special Education team. This role requires a strong support system for students with diverse needs, and we are looking for an individual who can provide exceptional assistance to our teachers and students. As a Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional, you will work closely with our Special Education staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Assist Special Education staff in meeting the instructional/functional needs of assigned students. Communicate regularly with teachers/case managers and related service providers to ensure seamless support. Participate in team meetings to share progress and problem-solve, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students. Complete record keeping, collect data, and perform clerical functions to support the teacher and ensure up-to-date reference documents. Provide necessary records/materials to students, teachers, and related service providers as required. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field. Paraprofessional Certification or equivalent experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Ability to work with technology, including educational software and digital tools. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
