About the Role: Substitute Teacher We're seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Far Hills, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to work on your own schedule, choosing assignments that fit your availability and preferences. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in various educational settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools. Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring continuity and engagement for students. Build positive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Manage classroom behavior, promoting a safe and respectful atmosphere. Communicate effectively with school administrators and teachers, providing feedback and insights on student progress. Participate in ongoing training and professional development, enhancing your skills and knowledge as an educator. Essential Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits. Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor. NJ Substitute Credential. Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this). Full COVID-19 vaccination. A passion for education and putting students first. An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Substitute Teacher or educator. Specialized training or certifications in areas like Special Education, English as a Second Language, or STEM education. Experience working with diverse student populations and age groups. Flexibility and willingness to learn. Compassion, empathy, and patience when working with students.
