About the Role: Substitute Teacher in Kearny, NJ We're seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Kearny, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work on your own schedule. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in the absence of their regular teacher Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, ensuring continuity of learning Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback and develop your skills Be available for day-to-day and long-term assignments, with opportunities for varied and challenging experiences Essential Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits NJ Substitute Credential Background check & TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
