About the Role of a Student Success Coach As a Student Success Coach at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in empowering students to strive for academic excellence. Your expertise and guidance will help students overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and become lifelong learners. You will work closely with each student throughout their learning journey, providing personalized support, motivation, and encouragement to help them achieve their educational goals. Key Responsibilities: Support enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all students. Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program with proactive and timely outreach. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on utilizing resources to maximize student success, including teaching students how to effectively use these tools. Become a certified resume reviewer to provide expert resume and career development support. Act as a liaison for students, connecting them with various departments and ensuring they receive the support they need. Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, as well as the ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment. Familiarity with academic support software and technology. Certification in resume writing or career development. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning needs.
