About the Role: Strategy Associate We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategy Associate to join our Strategy, Analysis, and Finance (SAF) team. As a Strategy Associate, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights and strategic planning. You will work closely with YouTube leadership across the product, engineering, and business organizations to address challenges and opportunities across the company, help chart the long-term course for YouTube, and provide analysis and decision support to inform the planning and execution of the business. Key Responsibilities Drive projects launched by the leadership at YouTube, applying critical thinking, analyzing data, and integrating recommendations on significant business decisions Collaborate with our leadership and work with colleagues across functions, including YouTube's Product, Business, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Outreach teams Develop, launch, and drive strategic workstreams, including creating hypotheses, designing project plans, leading research (including financial models), analyzing market/competitive trends, assessing business drivers, and tracking metrics Prepare presentations and communicate findings to YouTube's leadership and the broader organization Work with cross-functional teams to align on recommendations, financial and headcount investments, launch plans, and enable a transition to long-term owners Be a culture-carrier for the team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience At least 2 years of experience in professional services (consulting, investment banking) or a corporate strategy role Preferred qualifications include experience communicating and influencing a range of audiences, including C-level executives, as well as experience in consumer web and media industries Experience with SQL and outstanding business judgment, financial modeling, spreadsheet programming, and presentation software skills are also preferred Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive projects forward and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Essential Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights and recommendations Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong business judgment and financial acumen, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and financial models Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At YouTube, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
