About the Opportunity We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Strategy Associate within YouTube's Strategy, Analysis, and Finance (SAF) team. This team is responsible for identifying and driving the company's most significant opportunities, guiding the organization to make informed decisions, and enabling effective execution through proactive risk management. Key Responsibilities Work closely with YouTube's leadership to identify and tackle the company's biggest opportunities and challenges. Develop, launch, and drive strategy workstreams, including hypothesis development, work planning, financial modeling, market trend analysis, and business driver assessment. Prepare and present findings to YouTube's leadership and the broader organization, ensuring clear and effective communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on recommendations, financial and headcount investments, launch plans, and enable a shift to long-term ownership. Act as a culture ambassador for the team, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A four-year college education in a relevant field such as finance, mathematics, physics, or business administration, or equivalent practical experience. At least 2 years of experience in professional services (consulting, investment banking) or a corporate strategy role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive projects forward and develop robust solutions. Preferred Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have: Experience communicating and influencing a range of audiences, including C-level executives. A background in consumer web and media industries, with a deep understanding of the relevant trends and challenges. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with data to drive business decisions. Excellent business judgment and strong financial modeling, spreadsheet, and presentation skills.
