About the UI Foundation Team The UI Foundation team is at the heart of Airbnb's client-side designing efforts, working closely with the Design association on new UI drives and supporting item dispatches. As a Staff Web Engineer in this team, you'll have the opportunity to influence how UI designing is done at the organization level, collaborating with top-notch specialists and planners to develop the next generation of Airbnb's Design System. Key Responsibilities Construct efficient and reusable web UI foundation and design dependable, performant, accessible, and scalable solutions. Drive Technical strategy for UI development, including identifying areas of improvement and enhancing Web best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, such as Creators and Specialists, to design and deliver high-quality Motion animation and UI frameworks. Explore new Motion animation technologies to upgrade overall UI capability and fulfill Airbnb UI guidelines. Work intimately with Web, Android, and iOS specialists to develop central, cross-stage arrangements, sometimes as a lead, other times as a peer. Scale influence through teaching, making introductions, peer programming, and code/plan surveys. Improve client-side engineer proficiency and support the broader Airbnb Web community with a focus on UI and Motion. Essential Qualifications Solid mastery in assembling and maintaining high-performance, open, and versatile Web frontend encounters utilizing Javascript/Typescript. Profound involvement in modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries and tooling (e.g., Respond), with an in-depth understanding. Demonstrated aptitude in UI and Motion animation development. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and related web advances. Profound experience in understanding and addressing designing efficiency trouble spots. Experience working with Design Systems. Preferred Qualifications Personal projects that showcase a preference for specialized greatness, plan, UX, and item sense. Capacity to work in regions beyond your typical comfort zone, explore uncertainty, and demonstrate inspiration for self-awareness. Solid verbal and composed correspondence abilities. Demonstrated capacity to plan and advocate for a specialized guide, as a strategy and prioritization work out. Shown capacity to team up with fashioners and other Web, iOS, Android Designers.
