About the Job arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer to join its team as a technical powerhouse to help scale its data infrastructure, automation, and tools to meet growing business needs. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will be a key player in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse. You will work closely with colleagues and partners to understand data requirements, gather necessary data, and build reusable frameworks that improve the reliability and flexibility of ETLs. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with colleagues and partners to understand data requirements and gather necessary data Design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse Build reusable frameworks that improve the reliability and flexibility of ETLs Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality, reliable data Mentor and coach colleagues to improve their designs and implementations Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role 3+ years of experience working with programming languages like Python/Java 3+ years of experience with ETL tools and workflow management tools like Airflow, Flink, Oozie, and Azkaban using AWS/GCP Expertise in Database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing 3+ years of experience in the Distributed data/similar ecosystem (Spark, Hive, Druid, Voila) and streaming technologies like Kafka/Flink Experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS platforms Knowledge of reporting tools like Tableau, Superset, and Looker Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, self-starter, and self-organizing Capacity to think strategically, analyze, and interpret market and consumer data Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with cloud-based data platforms Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts Experience with data governance and data quality Certifications in data engineering or related fields Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong technical skills in data engineering and related technologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
