Job Highlights Company: Apple Location: Remote (San Diego, USA) Start Date: Immediate openings available Compensation: Competitive salary of $27/hour Position: SQA Engineer Industry: Private Employment Type: Full-time Work Hours: 8 hours Key Responsibilities As a SQA Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for: Utilizing test strategies to validate Bluetooth headsets and their underlying technologies Verifying key features of one or more products and/or software updates Creating and running tests to ensure the customer experience with Apple products Developing test plans and being involved in the implementation of testing methodologies and approaches Identifying, replicating, and isolating bugs in automated, networked, and open styles of testing Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and test new features, regress critical areas, and drive the resolution of issues Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field At least 3 complete product cycles of QA experience, from initiation to customer shipment Experience delivering customer-facing products is a plus Familiarity with hardware and/or software development lifecycle Experience with testing embedded customer devices or mobile phones Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams to achieve test objectives Strong written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills Ability to lead and drive testing of projects and features Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Experience with cloud-based testing platforms Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and isolate bugs Ability to lead and drive testing of projects and features Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and approaches Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Apple, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
