As a Speech Language Pathologist with the Matsu Borough School District, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities, providing therapeutic services to support their communication and language development. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide therapeutic services to students identified as speech/communication impaired, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' communication and language development * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services * Promote positive public relations and meet compliance standards advocated through the Student Support Services Department * Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology **Essential Qualifications** * Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field * Alaska State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology certification * 4 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist * Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with students with diverse communication needs and abilities * Knowledge of culturally responsive practices and strategies for supporting students from diverse backgrounds * Experience with assessment and treatment planning using standardized and non-standardized measures * Familiarity with technology-based tools and resources for supporting communication and language development **Skills and Competencies** * Strong clinical skills and knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities * Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Speech Language Pathologist with the Matsu Borough School District, you will have access to a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including: * Professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology * Mentorship and coaching from experienced professionals * Opportunities for leadership and professional growth * Access to a range of resources and tools to support your professional development **Work Environment and Company Culture** The Matsu Borough School District is a dynamic and supportive work environment that values innovation, collaboration, and student success.
