As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs, collaborating with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment, and providing support and accommodations to students with disabilities. If you are a passionate and dedicated educator who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** * Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs * Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment * Provide support and accommodations to students with disabilities * Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans to support students with challenging behaviors * Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure that students receive the support they need * Participate in IEP meetings and other professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education * Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement school-wide initiatives to support students with diverse needs **Essential Qualifications** * Graduate from a Teaching program * Current license as a Special Education Teacher in OR * School experience preferred * Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) * Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers and other professionals * Strong organizational and time management skills **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with students with autism, behavioral challenges, or other disabilities * Knowledge of assistive technology and other accommodations to support students with disabilities * Experience with data-driven instruction and progress monitoring * Strong knowledge of curriculum design and implementation * Experience with parent-teacher conferences and other communication strategies **Skills and Competencies** * Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) * Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers and other professionals * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At The Stepping Stones Group, we believe in investing in the growth and development of our educators.
