Job Description We're seeking an experienced Special Education Substitute Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Special Education Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students while enjoying a supportive and flexible work environment. Key Responsibilities: Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes Exercise classroom and behavior management skills Share your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students What You'll Need: Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s) Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired) Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor Complete a Background Check for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)
