Key Responsibilities
As a Site-Based Substitute Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and instructional goals
Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning and achievement
Participating in professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check
Possess, or be willing to earn, a California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core curriculum
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Experience working with diverse student populations and communities
Knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies
Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools
Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly Spanish or other languages spoken by our student population
