Job Summary As a Senior Manufacturing Technician at Confluent Medical Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of medical device tubing through extrusion processes. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams to drive process improvements. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain extrusion equipment for medical device tubing production, adhering to specifications and quality standards. Perform multi-lumen extrusion, tri-layer extrusion, and bump extrusions with precision and accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Read and interpret product drawings, documentation, and work instructions to ensure accurate production. Complete process logs and documentation accurately and efficiently. Utilize computer applications, including MS Office, to support production and documentation needs. Inspect products using microscopes, calipers, pin gages, and other quality control tools to ensure compliance with specifications. Research and apply knowledge of previous methods, processes, equipment, and tooling to new applications, driving continuous improvement. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop new process parameters, tooling, and methods for manufacturing, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and yield optimization. Develop clear and concise work instructions, test methods, and visual standards to support production and quality control. Train and mentor other technicians and operators in assembly techniques, inspection methods, and required documentation. Communicate effectively with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve issues, driving collaborative continuous improvement. Essential Qualifications Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a relevant field. 7-10 years of prior extrusion experience, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment. Minimum of 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in extrusion processes. Willingness to work in a clean room environment and adhere to GMP requirements. Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex issues on existing processes, methods, equipment, and tooling. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) and attention to detail. Professional attitude and a team-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-lumen extrusion, tri-layer extrusion, and bump extrusions. Familiarity with medical device manufacturing and regulatory requirements. Previous experience working with engineering teams to drive process improvements and develop new manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data to drive decision-making.
