We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Gear Engineer to join our team in Venezuela. As a Senior Gear Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our development teams across all disciplines, enhancing crew performance, and contributing to the creation of exceptional games. Your primary focus will be on identifying workflow inefficiencies, collaborating with the team to generate candidate solutions, and implementing these solutions to improve our development process. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will work closely with our Art, Design, and Engineering teams to understand pain points and troubles in our development process. Your responsibilities will include: Proactively identifying inefficiencies and elaborating areas for improvement in our development technique across disciplines Maintaining, extending, and supporting our present development gear Building and guiding custom asset pipelines Growing Spry Fox's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures Collaborating with the team to generate candidate answers, weighing tradeoffs given the problem context and development timetable Implementing the selected answer and helping the adoption of the solution by the team Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess: A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work Experience with the overall device lifecycle: coming across issues, comparing potential answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness Enjoyment in operating with custom standalone gear Experience growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, and Python Ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience with custom game engines Unreal or Unity experience JavaScript and Net tech experience Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. You should also have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
