Job Overview and Responsibilities As a Senior Engineer on our Cyber Fraud and Abuse Prevention team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and maintenance of applications and APIs used to prevent and detect fraudulent activities on Target.com. You will collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and analysts to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable systems that drive business value and protect our guests and assets. Your key responsibilities will include: Designing and developing back-end systems and data architectures that support the prevention and detection of fraudulent activities Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources and explore emerging tools and technologies in the security and fraud prevention space Participating in agile development methodologies, including pair programming, code reviews, and continuous learning opportunities Implementing thoughtful design principles to optimize our mobile, highly scalable systems Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and contributing to the development of best practices and standards Writing well-structured, well-tested code that ensures accuracy and effectiveness Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in software engineering, design, and development, as well as experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. You should also have a solid understanding of REST-based API development, CI/CD toolchains, and DevOps practices.
