Job Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to organize business data essentials and identify data requirements and sources Designing and implementing data models to support business changes and execution Developing and maintaining information about reserved data and handling database requirements Creating and maintaining a database plan and architecture that supports the business portfolio Performing database design reviews, supporting database testing, and providing production environment support for database structures and processes Designing database features for future runs and monitoring database requirements considering industry trends, new technologies, known distortions, and issues Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on database design, development, and implementation Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and database modeling tools Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL, and data governance principles Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop creative solutions Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field Experience with big data technologies, including Apache Hadoop, Hive, and Spark Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git Strong understanding of data security and compliance principles, including data encryption and access control Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, with the ability to design and implement complex data systems Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop creative solutions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
