Job Overview The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, planning and implementing database mapping/tables/views, and building batch processes using Windstream for multiple projects. This role will involve collaboration with our Studios or Project Technology colleagues in various activities, including data requirements gathering, data validation scripting and review, creating and testing ETL/ELT data pipelines, and planning and implementing database schema/tables/views across multiple environments such as DEV, QA/UAT, and Push. Key Responsibilities Design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines using a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Windstream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, validate data, and implement data pipelines Plan and implement database schema/tables/views, and ensure data consistency and integrity across multiple environments Develop and maintain batch processes using Windstream, and ensure seamless data flow and processing Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes Work with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role, with a focus on designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases Strong skills in SQL, Python, Gitlab, Windstream, AWS S3, and Social Databases Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded: A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience with Windstream, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry 2+ years of experience using Docker, and 2+ years of experience using Gitlab/Github Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills in data engineering, with a focus on ETL/ELT data pipelines and database management Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop creative solutions Experience working with agile development methodologies, and a commitment to driving best practices in data engineering Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
