This team is responsible for driving business outcomes through advanced analytical techniques, data science, and business acumen. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the group's mission to transform a network of thousands of individual merchant organizations into a seamless supply chain operation.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative analysis, data science, and business acumen, with experience in working with large datasets and driving business outcomes through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to complex business problems, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business results, and collaborating with senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Foster factual and logical models to support cross-functional initiatives
Collaborate and partner closely with Information Solutions, Data Representation, and other teams to ensure seamless rollout of proposals
Use data science and analytics methods to bring answers to complex questions into scope
Be the subject matter expert for data, analysis, and insights within the Global Supply Chain or Store network association to ensure accurate and appropriate interpretation of key business metrics and customer behavior
Support wide-scale improvement initiatives across thousands of providers to improve efficiency and visibility across the supply chain for our partner providers
Analyze key performance metrics to identify drivers of performance issues and drive change
Consistently deliver performance patterns and improvements to senior leadership and management
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in a quantitative discipline, such as software engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, data systems, economics, management, sociology, or other related fields. Experience in a quantitative, business analytics, data science, or engineering role performing quantitative analysis is highly desirable.
Essential Qualifications
Strong background in a quantitative discipline, such as software engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, data systems, economics, management, sociology, or other related fields
Experience in a quantitative, business analytics, data science, or engineering role performing quantitative analysis
Active experience leading quantitative analyses on large datasets; expertise with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.), and programming languages (Python, R)
Strong knowledge of SQL (TSQL, Google BigQuery, and Vertica, including aggregate functions, joins, etc.)
Experience with data representation tools (Tableau, Looker, DataStudio) is a plus
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Results-driven, analytical, and strategic thinking
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and inquisitive attitude
Experience in delivering successful projects from start to finish on time
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or related field
Experience working with large datasets and driving business outcomes through data-driven insights
Strong understanding of data science and analytics methods and tools
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
Strong business acumen and understanding of supply chain operations
