Experienced Senior Counsel for Digital Products and Data Analytics – Technology Law Expertise and Business Acumen

About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel to provide legal advice and support to our digital products and data analytics teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technology law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Senior Counsel at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing legal guidance on a wide range of issues, including technology transactions, product development, intellectual property, marketing, security, and data protection. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice and support to digital products and data analytics teams on technology transactions, product development, intellectual property, marketing, security, and data protection Structure and negotiate business agreements, including master service agreements, vendor agreements, data licensing and integration agreements, and supply agreements Collaborate with teams across blithequark's digital product and data analytics organizations and external partners to build, deliver, and operate technology for use by customers and patients Work cross-functionally with business, product, marketing, insurance, security, and technology teams to launch digital product and service offerings Develop and maintain a deep understanding of blithequark's digital product and service offerings, technology, security and data protection systems and policies, and standard business and other agreements Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to provide informed legal advice and support Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and at least 5 years of post-bar attorney legal work experience in a combination of law firm and corporate settings Required licensure to provide legal counsel in at least one state Required Illinois bar registration or active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Ability to act in a fast-paced environment where prioritization and ability to work independently are a requirement for success Experience working in a technology or healthcare industry Knowledge of data protection and security regulations Experience with contract management and negotiation Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
