Key Responsibilities
Responsible for daily architectural requirements within the organization, with a focus on Azure
Design architectural artifacts and manage architectural processes
Stay up-to-date with new and emerging technologies and their potential application for service offerings and products
Focus on the realization of a specific set of technical outcomes, including:
Solutions adhere to established patterns, methods, and standards
Solutions utilize existing capability to reduce cost/complexity
Solutions are provisioned to provide availability and recoverability in line with the criticality of the business functionality they support
Solutions are designed to be fault-tolerant
Solutions favor building reusable capability over one-off solutions
Solutions support established processes
Solutions benefit from great opportunities to pay off technical debt
Solutions benefit from opportunities to modernize the technology portfolio, where appropriate
Solutions make mindful and careful use of shared resources
The application portfolio is kept up-to-date
Implement network and container security, host, and Azure resource management security
Configure Azure monitoring and Azure log analysis, manage security alarms, and configure security policies
Management and configuration of SaaS/ASP applications across various end-client business segments
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
A minimum of 3 years of architectural and design experience
Hands-on experience with systems architecture in various computing models and environments, with a deep understanding of architectural concepts, issues, and trends
Knowledge of systems integration practices and understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture principles, practices, and related technologies, such as XML, Soap, REST, and JSON
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out in this role, you will need:
3 years of application systems design experience
Cyber protection and security experience
Carrier industry experience
Proficiency in the following technologies:
Azure
IaC automation (Bicep or Terraform)
n-tiered web architecture, relational databases, web development
Networking (DNS, SFTP, SMB, TCP/IP OSI model)
Capability in Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Experience in system design and deployment across hybrid environments (Cloud, On-Prem, and SaaS)
Direct experience migrating On-Prem applications to Cloud environments
Hands-on experience setting up systems and CI/CD Pipelines
Experience in object-oriented design methods and principles
Experience in Agile methodologies
Experience with DevSecOps principles
Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and Big Data Development
