About the Role We are excited to offer a remote full-time opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Senior Accountant at blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and financial statements, as well as providing support for external audits and quarterly reviews. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned regions of the general ledger Be a key owner of the monthly close process for assigned regions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls Collaborate with FP&A, operational partners, and external parties on significant accounting matters Provide support for external audits and quarterly reviews, including preparing financial statements and responding to auditor inquiries Conduct ad-hoc investigations and projects to drive process improvements and enhance financial management Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification being a plus 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is preferred, as well as strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets Excellent communication, oral, and written skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external parties Strong business acumen, process-oriented, and data-driven, with a "make it happen" attitude and a willingness to think creatively and entrepreneurially Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to work remotely and manage your time effectively What We Offer At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and well-being of our employees.
