**Experienced Senior Accountant – Remote Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting**

You will work closely with our finance team to develop and implement financial processes and procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. This is a remote position, and you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan and prepare financial reports, including journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger * Be a key owner of the monthly close cycle for ourselves and external partners for explicitly assigned functional areas * Ensure financial records are maintained for Management and GAAP combined financial statements using accepted methodologies * Assist in providing expectations to external auditors on annual reviews and quarterly reviews * Communicate with FP&A, functional partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters * Conduct special investigations and projects to further our cycle improvement initiatives **What We're Looking For** * Self-motivated and independent individual who can think critically, innovatively, and entrepreneurially * "Make it happen" attitude – you're able to handle pressure well, and you're modest and resilient * Sharp business acumen and process-oriented * Data-driven and unafraid to dig down to the lowest level of detail for accuracy and high level of precision * Excellent communication, oral, and written communication skills, including strong proficiency in English * Strong analytical and time management skills * 2+ years of relevant accounting experience * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, SOX/internal controls * Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification an asset * Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and process large amounts of data **Why You'll Love Working at blithequark** * We are pioneers – leadership isn't limited to our management team.
