**Experienced Senior Accountant – Remote Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting**

We are a company that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, and we are looking for talented individuals like you to join our team. **Job Summary** As a Senior Accountant at blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving financial reporting and analysis to inform business decisions. You will work closely with our finance team to develop and implement financial processes and procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. This is a remote position, and you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan and prepare financial reports, including journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger * Be a key owner of the monthly close cycle for ourselves and external partners for explicitly assigned functional areas * Ensure financial records are maintained for Management and GAAP combined financial statements using accepted methodologies * Assist in providing expectations to external auditors on annual reviews and quarterly reviews * Communicate with FP&A, functional partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters * Conduct special investigations and projects to further our cycle improvement initiatives **What We're Looking For** * Self-motivated and independent individual who can think critically, innovatively, and entrepreneurially * "Make it happen" attitude – you're able to handle pressure well, and you're modest and resilient * Sharp business acumen and process-oriented * Data-driven and unafraid to dig down to the lowest level of detail for accuracy and high level of precision * Excellent communication, oral, and written communication skills, including strong proficiency in English * Strong analytical and time management skills * 2+ years of relevant accounting experience * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, SOX/internal controls * Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite preferred * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification an asset * Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and process large amounts of data **Why You'll Love Working at blithequark** * We are pioneers – leadership isn't limited to our management team.
