Job Overview and Responsibilities
As a Security Analyst at Delta Airlines, you will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating data security risks throughout the third-party lifecycle. You will work closely with our IT portfolios, key functional partners, and external partners to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading investigations of data security incidents and breaches of Delta's third-party vendors
Collaborating with internal teams to determine the risk of specific third-party data security incidents
Communicating directly with external third parties during their data security incidents to understand the impact on Delta
Documenting third-party security incidents and reporting results to senior leadership with urgency and accuracy
Participating in vendor risk management activities, including third-party risk assessments, gap analysis, contract review, vendor termination, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to monitor vendors
Performing data analysis and creating meaningful reports to effectively communicate results from vendor management activities and related security, compliance, and management concepts and controls across various audiences, including non-technical audiences
Identifying and communicating findings of non-compliance with Delta's Data Security Principles and tracking to remediation or to an acceptable level of risk
Continuously working to improve the overall Vendor Risk Management Program through identifying valuable opportunities and participating in implementation activities
Providing guidance to the business, Strategic Sourcing, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements of VRM are fully understood
Serving as a subject matter expert in interpreting requirements and improving awareness of Operational Risks faced by the Business from vendor failure/poor performance
Staying informed about the latest developments in the vendor risk management field
Performing other job-related instructions, as requested, with reasonable accommodation


Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and other business-related software programs
Ability to effectively manage time and productivity with competing needs in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-based team environment
Proven analytical/critical thinking skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Consistently prioritizing the safety and security of self, others, and personal data


Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
While not required, the following qualifications and certifications will give you a competitive edge:

Key industry certifications like CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, and others
Knowledge of industry standard frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, NIST 800-30, and others
Understanding of third-party data security verifications/certifications like SOC I/II reports, ISO, PCI-DSS, SOX
Extensive knowledge of third-party risk concepts, methodologies, management frameworks, and experience with managing risk and performing vendor risk assessments
Experience across Data Security areas like management and compliance, incident response, identity and access management, penetration testing, or e-discovery and digital forensics
Experience across IT domains like application development, infrastructure, technical support and operations, cloud technologies, and/or business continuity
