We are seeking a skilled and experienced Seamstress to join our team. As a Thimble Seamstress, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing alterations and repairs on garments at your home workspace. This is an opportunity to showcase your expertise in garment construction and sewing.
Requirements:
ā¢ You must own a sewing machine at home, as this is a work from home position.
ā¢ At least 2 Years experience as a seamstress/performing dress alterations.
ā¢ Proven experience working with Bridal, Prom or Evening Dresses or Suits is preferred.
ā¢ Proficiency in using sewing machines and other alteration tools.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques.
ā¢ Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements.
ā¢ Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements.
ā¢ Ability to maintain high-quality standards.
ā¢ Strong communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Perform alterations and repairs on garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and replacing buttons or zippers.
ā¢ Use sewing machines, hand tools, and other equipment to complete tailoring tasks.
ā¢ Provide exceptional customer service by assisting our customers with fitting and ensuring their satisfaction with the finished product.
ā¢ Take accurate measurements from customers during fittings.
ā¢ Maintain a clean and organized work area at home where the work is done.
