Job Summary In this critical role, you will be responsible for answering patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of patient symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms, and guiding patients to the appropriate level of care. You will also schedule patient appointments, document patient information, and maintain and develop triage protocols to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will educate patients, provide emotional support, and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Assess patient symptoms and medical needs over the telephone, using triage algorithms to determine the appropriate level of care Guide patients to the appropriate level of care, scheduling appointments and providing guidance and support as needed Document patient information in health record systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records Maintain and develop triage protocols, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and that our healthcare team is equipped to respond to emerging needs Collaborate with our healthcare team, including nurses, providers, and registration staff, to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes Provide emotional support and education to patients, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare and well-being Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in nursing, with a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program preferred. You should also have at least one year of healthcare experience, with a current RN license and multistate licensure if applicable. We are looking for nurses who are compassionate, skilled, and dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
