Key Responsibilities


Work independently in a home office setting as part of a supportive team nationwide to provide telephonic triage and case management services to federal workers with occupational-related injuries and illnesses.
Develop and implement comprehensive case management plans for each injured worker, tracking patient improvement goals and outcomes in a database.
Provide medical expertise and serve as a critical communication link between parties involved in medical disability cases, ensuring timely facilitation and coordination of diagnosis and treatment.
Utilize telehealth technologies, such as video and chat, to deliver clinical care and care management services as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed records, providing 24-hour follow-up to all communication and ensuring seamless care coordination.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prevent, minimize, or overcome disabilities, promoting optimal health and well-being for injured workers.


Essential Qualifications


Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice nursing in the United States, Puerto Rico, or other US territories (Compact License Preferred).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum 5 years of related clinical experience in medical case management, workers' compensation, occupational health, or a comparable field, with at least 2 years of adult medical/surgical nursing experience and 2 years of case management experience in workers' compensation.
National Certification in case management or related fields preferred (may be obtained within 12 months of hire).
Reliable High-Speed Cable or Fiber Optic Internet service and Internet Router in an established home office.
Excellent communication skills via phone, email, text, verbal, and documentation, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience using Microsoft Windows and basic electronic technology understanding.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience with case management systems, Electronic Medical Records, or other electronic platforms.
Telehealth technology experience, including video and chat applications.
Previous experience working in workers' compensation and occupational health.
