About Reverse Logistics at WebstaurantStore Reverse Logistics is a critical component of our business model, supporting a circular economy approach by ensuring that products are moved efficiently from one point of use to the next. This involves identifying the quickest refund approaches for our customers, redeploying valued assets through various resale platforms, and adopting environmentally conscious practices for scrapping and recycling. As a Reverse Logistics Intern, you will be at the forefront of these efforts, working closely with our team to drive success and contribute to the growth of our business. Key Responsibilities Make and execute decisions regarding the best way to resolve customer resolutions for both stock and drop-ship inventory, ensuring prompt and effective solutions. Review, process, and post resale items through a variety of sales platforms, leveraging data to support proposed solutions and maximize returns. Shadow other team members to gain comprehensive knowledge in all areas of the department, including our training and QA specialists, to develop a well-rounded understanding of Reverse Logistics operations. Communicate effectively with internal sources, such as accounting, to ensure seamless resolution fulfillment and maintain strong cross-functional relationships. Gain hands-on experience with our newly formulated internal development systems that support WebstaurantStore's returns process and needs, contributing to process improvements and innovations. Participate in projects aimed at improving processes with customers, vendors, internal systems, and our data, applying analytical skills and creative thinking to drive enhancements. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you should be: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in any major, with a strong academic record and a keen interest in logistics, e-commerce, and sustainability. Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Adept at leveraging data to support proposed solutions, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies. A team player with excellent communication skills, able to flourish in a collaborative environment and contribute to a thriving company culture. Able to work independently, taking initiative and ownership of problems to find solutions, and providing feedback on team and company processes and projects to drive continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in logistics, customer service, or a related field, with a proven track record of success and a deep understanding of e-commerce operations. Knowledge of circular economy principles and practices, with a passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility. Experience with project management tools and software, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights. Proficiency in additional languages, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
