Job Summary We are looking for a talented and versatile Crew Team Member to join our team. As a Crew Team Member, you will be responsible for: Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers Maintaining store operations, including sales floor management, inventory control, and visual merchandising Processing transactions, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and drive business growth Participating in store events, workshops, and promotions to engage customers and build brand loyalty Key Responsibilities As a Crew Team Member, your key responsibilities will include: Delivering outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Maintaining a high level of product knowledge, including arts, crafts, and related products, to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers Processing transactions, handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating a point-of-sale system Maintaining store appearance, including visual merchandising, store displays, and ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment Collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and drive business growth Participating in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and replenishing merchandise Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities Basic math skills, including handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in arts, crafts, or a related field Knowledge of manual pricing and inventory management systems Previous experience with visual merchandising and store displays Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Customer Service: ability to provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner Communication: excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Problem-Solving: ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment Adaptability: ability to adapt to changing situations, priorities, and deadlines Teamwork: ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and drive business growth Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Hobby Lobby, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth, development, and advancement.
