About the Role As a Remote Wayfair Computer Operator , you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data platforms and business analysis solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement large-scale data platforms and business analysis solutions to support data-driven decision-making Build and maintain data engineering, data pipelines, reporting, data analysis, processes, and quality controls to enable self-service business intelligence Develop and maintain datasets that are easily consumable by non-technical users Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineers to build metrics and attributes that address broad business needs Work with terabyte-sized datasets to design flexible, robust analytical solutions Implement data-driven solutions, such as reporting, algorithms, or data integration systems, to align with business objectives Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field Strong technical skills, with experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data engineering Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 8, 2024-June 21, 2024 Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Experience with SQL and Python programming languages Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business needs and develop effective solutions Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Knowledge of data warehousing, data governance, and data quality principles Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop effective solutions Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, with experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data engineering Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business needs and develop effective solutions Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wayfair, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
