About the Company and Role This family-friendly CPA firm is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper with recent public accounting experience to lead their CAS team. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management: Assign and reassign tasks to team members to maintain a balanced workload, develop standards and procedures for consistency, and provide timely feedback to the CAS Director for staff evaluations. Client Service and Support: Meet with current and prospective clients to assess needs, provide recommendations on bookkeeping procedures and technology, and offer training as needed. Financial Statement Review: Review financial statements prepared by staff on multiple bases of accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Workload Monitoring and Delegation: Monitor workload and status of work deliverables, delegating tasks effectively to team members. Client Accounting Services: Provide client support as needed, ensuring high-quality service and timely delivery. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: Minimum 5 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper , with a strong background in public accounting. Accounting or Business degree , demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices. Technical skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping services and accounting software. Leadership and communication skills: Ability to lead, direct, and instruct CAS associates, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professionalism and confidence: Ability to work in a professional manner, with confidence and ease, in the presence of staff and client representatives. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Recent public accounting experience , ensuring you're up-to-date with the latest accounting standards and practices.
