Experienced Remote Proposal Writer – Corporate Travel Management RFP/RFI/RFQ and Bid Response Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Proposal Writer to join our team as a key resource for our global sales teams. As a Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for leading and responding to all aspects of Corporate Travel Management RFP/RFI/RFQ and informational requests, working closely with the sales lead to provide consultative and responsive support. This is a remote position, and you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, collaborating with our team of professionals to drive business growth and success. Key Responsibilities Lead and respond to all aspects of Corporate Travel Management RFP/RFI/RFQ and informational requests, working closely with the sales lead to provide consultative and responsive support Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, tools, databases, and tracking systems related to managing bid responses Work with our Sales and Account Management Teams throughout the entire acquisition process to develop detailed and customized bid responses within the schedule provided Apply effective Project Management methodologies in completing a bid project, including leading kick-off, strategy, final check, and post-submittal debrief meetings Complete a Gap Analysis of client needs vs. Amex Egencia's current response capabilities, assessing requirements and communicating with business and technical resources to support the response Build a Plan of Action to deliver all items required to successfully complete the bid, writing and delivering multiple drafts and incorporating feedback into the final proposal Produce and deliver the final bid, which may include both electronic and hard-copies, and resolve all post-submittal bid-related questions from the client Support the maintenance of the RFP Database, stay abreast of competitor practices, keep current on all marketing materials, maintain relevant data in Salesforce, and answer ad-hoc requests Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 3+ years' experience working as a Proposal Writer responsible for creating bids for a company that has a focus in technology solutions 5+ years experience in support of a Global B2B sales organization leading and responding to inbound/outbound RFP's Awesome research, writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation skills Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills Finely honed interpersonal and negotiation skills Experience in maintaining content libraries preferred Highly proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint Ability to craft a simple and compelling story which drives action Ability to understand the context and requirements of complex bids Bachelor's Degree preferred Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who have: Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and collaborative environment Proven track record of success in securing new business for an enterprise that helps companies optimize their business processes Excellent business writing skills that can be flexibly applied to a variety of business needs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with project management tools and software Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to understand the context and requirements of complex bids Ability to craft a simple and compelling story which drives action Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amex GBT, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
