The Role: Contributing to Airbnb's Data-Driven Future As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining foundational data models, ML models, and data systems that power user-facing features and Host products. Your work will directly impact the visibility and effectiveness of features like Guest Favorites, Categories, and Photo Tour, as well as tools that help Hosts maximize their earnings on Airbnb. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and ML models that drive business decisions and product features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs. Work with large datasets to identify trends, create data visualizations, and inform product decisions. Develop and maintain data systems that support high-volume and high-visibility features. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our data-driven capabilities. Partner with stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Strong background in data modeling, machine learning, and data processing. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience working with large datasets and developing data visualizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or GCP. Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
